Sue Sill - Fine Artist
My artistic works reflect my deep fascination with Latin America and my respect for its diversity of cultures and natural wonders. I have traveled across Latin America, primarily Mexico, for 40 years -- always with camera in hand. My subjects represent peoples and places I have visited.
I currently reside both in McAllen, Texas and Erongaricuaro, Michoacan, Mexico. While in Mexico, I paint, take photographs and work with a reforestation project that gives trees to indigenous and other campesino small land holders to restore the environment. I have a Ph.D. in Botany from Texas A&M University at College Station, with a minor in art as an undergraduate at Corpus Christi State University (now Texas A&M at Corpus Christi).
